The Lanka Japan Friendship Society (LJFS) organized a Blood Donation program on 30th Dec 2017 at the National Blood Centre (NPC), Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 5 where 178 donors from the 3 Armed Services & the Police donated blood to the NPC. Blood of 25 persons were rejected for various reasons.
The project was spearheaded by LJFS Vice President Upali Jayasekera. Also present were Kiyotaka Tanaka, 2nd Secretary, Embassy of Japan, Rajah Sinnathuray, President, Chandra Jayatilleka, Hony General Secretary, Tony Saldin, Asst Treasurer, Lal Wewala, Asst Secretary, and EXCO Members: Wilson Gunawardene, Vinnie Gunaratne, Jenneth Ismail, Dr. Gaminda Haegoda, Sunitha Wijepala and Life Member Rupakanthi Jayatilleka
